But more importantly, if you’re playing on Xbox One X or PS4 Pro, the game now renders at full 4K resolution which, trust me, makes the image quality infinitely more appealing. Textures have been improved across the board, shadows are sharper, and special effects such as smoke are now more plentiful. Not quite truly next-gen, mind, but still glorious. In comparison, Burnout Paradise Remastered looks glorious. I’ve been playing Burnout Paradise on Xbox One X recently via backwards compatibility, and let me tell you, it’s no longer a looker. Visually, Burnout Paradise Remastered gives the original game quite a makeover. ![]() So, what’s been changed, you’re probably wondering? And the answer is both quite a lot and absolutely nothing. Until now.īurnout Paradise is back, remastered for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and later this year PC, but while it’s still a great game even by today’s standards, I just can’t help but think that it should have been Burnout Revenge getting the remaster treatment. Burnout unexpectedly and undeservedly died. But then, after 2008’s critically acclaimed Burnout Paradise, there were simply no more. And all the while it looked great and ran flawlessly. Burnout was the ultimate arcade racing game series. ![]()
